The islands’ entertainment facilities, which can be found in almost all the islands’ resorts, offer variety and fun for all the family. Local hotels and travel agencies will organise full or half day excursions to many places of interest including the Drach caves and Artà, the Roman remains of Pollentia in Alcúdia, Formentor, the Carthusian Monastery at Valldemossa and the islands of Dragonera and Cabrera.
Walking is becoming increasing popular on the island taking in Mallorca’s wonderful countryside and there are many guided walks available in different languages. Families looking for a fascinating day out should include the recently opened Palma Aquarium and House of Katmandu, or the more established attractions such as, the Marineland Dolphinarium, La Reserva (Puigpunyent), La Granja, S’Albufera”Natural Park in Muro and many fun water parks around the island.
Nightlife can always be found in the capital year round and in the holiday resorts throughout the main summer season. For those who like gambling, a Casino is situated in Palma (Porto Pi Commercial Centre) with gaming tables and slot machines.
